Influencer marketing · Toronto and the GTA

Influencer marketing
counted at the door.

Influencer marketing is paying creators to show your business to the people who follow them. On Onlure, a local brand books from 2,000+ creators across the Greater Toronto Area at a fixed public rate for each creator's tier, reviews the video before it goes live, and Onlure takes no commission on the creator's fee. Then the brand sees the customers who walked in, each credited to the creator who sent them, along with views and any online sales. Brands browse and message creators on the free plan, or post a campaign and let creators apply.

Tier fees are what a Marketplace campaign pays each creator, shown in the builder before you publish; a direct booking from a creator's profile pays the prices on that profile. Walk-in pay stops at C$80 per required post.

What is influencer marketing for a local business?

Influencer marketing for a local business is paying a creator whose followers live nearby to show them your café, salon, shop or event. What counts is whether those followers can come in, so a creator with a few thousand followers in your part of the city can be worth more to you than an account with a national audience.

The hard part has always been the follow-through. A post collects views and likes, the till gets busier or it doesn't, and nothing joins the two. Onlure counts the customers each creator sends, so a brand knows which creators to book again.

How do I find local influencers in Toronto?

Browse creators on Onlure by niche, city and neighbourhood and message the ones you like, or post a campaign and let the creators who fit apply. Rosy, Onlure's assistant on the brands page, pulls up creators for your business when you tell her what you sell and where, or paste your website.

Creators on Onlure are spread across the GTA, from Toronto, North York and Scarborough to Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Vaughan and Oakville, and each profile shows the creator's tier and the accounts they've connected.

How much does an influencer cost in Toronto?

On an Onlure campaign the content fee is fixed by the creator's tier: C$30 for Emerging, C$60 for Rising, C$90 for Established and C$120 for Elite, per creator, up to the top tier your budget covers. The same rates apply to every brand and show in the builder before you publish.

On top of the fee, the campaign's reserve pays C$6 for each verified walk-in a creator sends (C$3 of it to the creator) and C$2 per 1,000 views on the live post, within the ceilings each listing shows. A direct booking from a creator's profile pays the prices on that profile instead, and Step 3 of the builder shows your exact total before you pay.

Does Onlure take a commission from the creator?

Onlure takes 0% of a creator's content fee: creators keep 100% of what you pay them. Your campaign budget covers the content fees and a performance reserve that pays for verified walk-ins, views and any sales commission you set, and Step 3 of the builder shows your exact total before you pay.

How does a campaign work, from brief to live post?

A campaign starts in the builder, which works before you have an account: pick a goal and each step arrives filled in from your business. You publish a listing to the Onlure Marketplace, creators apply, and you accept the ones you want.

The creator gets 70% of their fee when you accept them. You see the video before it goes live and can ask for changes up to two times; the last 30% is paid when you approve it, or automatically 72 hours after delivery if you haven't asked for changes. Once the post is live, view pay and walk-in pay follow what it does.

How do I know which creator brought customers in?

Each walk-in is verified at the location and credited to the creator, flyer or ad that sent the customer; a purchase counts only when it appears in your own records. Nothing is modelled, sampled or surveyed. How the verification works is proprietary; book a demo to see it live.

Every verified walk-in is credited to one creator, so a campaign ends with a list of who brought people in next to what each one was paid. That's the list to rebook from.

How does Onlure compare with GRIN and Upfluence?

GRIN and Upfluence are built for e-commerce brands running creator programs across North America, and Onlure is built for a local business that needs to know who walked in. Both search large creator databases, manage outreach and track online sales through links and discount codes; neither documents a way to count an in-store visit or a sale at the register.

They're priced differently too, as of October 2026. GRIN publishes monthly plans in US dollars, from a free tier up to US$1,000 a month, with no annual contract; Upfluence quotes its modules on a call, with a 12-month minimum. Onlure books Toronto creators at fixed public rates in Canadian dollars, on a free plan or Plus at C$29 a month. If you only sell online and want creators across the continent, either of them may suit you better.

Is influencer marketing on Onlure available outside Toronto?

What a creator costs, by tier

A Marketplace campaign pays each creator the fixed public fee for their tier, 70% when you accept them and 30% when you approve the video. Creators keep all of it. Walk-ins and views are paid on top, from the campaign's reserve, within the ceilings each listing shows.

How much does a campaign cost?

Your campaign budget pays for two things: the creators' content fees (a fixed public rate by tier, 70% when you accept them and 30% when you approve the video) and a performance reserve that pays C$6 per verified walk-in from a creator, C$3 from a flyer or static ad, view pay on the live posts, and any sales commission you set. Onlure takes no commission on creator fees: creators keep 100% of what you pay them. Step 3 of the builder shows your exact split and total before you pay, and no verified walk-in means no walk-in charge. Plus membership is separate.
